Qingdao Fengshanxi Community
Qingdao first seawater source energy station
The Qingdao Fengshanxi Community is located in Qingdao’s Laoshan Scenic Area. This, KC Blue’s first operational seawater source energy station, has solved the heating energy and emissions problem for 260 residents, occupying about 28 thousand square meters of heated space in the community of Fengshanxi. The use of a long-distance intake seawater source heat pump system instead of rural bulk coal heating is saving nearly 1,400 megawatt hours of energy and is reducing coal consumption by 240 tons, per year. This new energy system also has eliminated annual CO2 emissions by 670 tons, SO2sulfur dioxide by 7 tons, NOX by 13 tons, and dust/particulate emissions by over 45 tons. This system became fully operational in 2017.
